Wondering How It All Fits Together

U.S.S. Alabama Memorial Park

One of the coolest things we did on our vacation was to visit the U.S.S. Alabama a WWII Battleship and the U.S.S. Drumm a WWII Submarine in Mobile, Alabama. It was a very interesting and educational time for our family. If you are ever in Mobile, Alabama, I highly recommend spending a few hours here.

All my boys monkeying around on the battleship. It’s a wonder the thing is still a float after my crew was done climbing over every square inch.

There was also an impressive collection of warplanes, including this Stealth Peacekeeper. Very cool!

wow! i bet y’all had a great time. we lived in daphne (just to the east of the alabama) and now we are in mobile (just to the west of the alabama) and i have never been to see the alabama. i have passed when going to and from work and church before we moved across the bay.

we have been to gulf shores plenty of times though. that is a hoppin’ place for tourism. did you get any throwed rolls at lambert’s?

wish y’all would have stopped by and had church with us. it would’ve been neat to have y’all visit us at port city church of Christ. oh well, maybe next year, huh?

    Kenny,

We did get some Throwed Rolls at Lamberts. We had not idea what to expect and just stopped in because we saw all the cars and thought it must be good. We were pleasantly surprised.

Thanks for thinking of us, we try to come by that direction at least once a year. Our family has a beach fever that is hard to quench. Maybe next year we can stop by Port City.
